OVERVIEW

The Mickey Thompson Deegan 38 All Terrain is an all terrain all season tire manufactured for sport utility and light truck vehicles. Mickey Thompson offers a 55,000 mile treadwear warranty with the LT sizes and a 60,000 mile treadwear warranty of the SUV sizes of this model.

The tire promotes excellent all weather traction. Th silica-based tire compound and special tread design increase the dry, wet and winter weather road gripping ability by finding firm grip on the different weather road surfaces. The deep tread grooves prevent hydroplaning by channeling water and slush away from the tire’s footprint. The tread edge chafers and the variable draft angles increase the snow dispersing ability in order to keep the tire’s footprint clean constantly and ensure constant road contact. The combination of these enhancements guarantees a safer year round driving experience.

The model performs well both on and off-road, making it very versatile in its use. The two-pitch SideBiter located on the tire’s sidewalls and the angled shoulder scallops allow the tire to conquer all soft, loose and uneven surfaces. The tread design finds excellent grip in all terrain conditions and ensures a more secure drive. This offers a constantly clean tire footprint which further improves the traction in such road conditions.

The special tread compound improves the driving safety as it is cut and chip resistant. The tread pattern further increases the tread life and tire usability as the tread design evenly distributes the driving pressure across the tread area. The tire’s internal structure features a high tensile two-ply body cord that increases the model’s durability and strength. It prevents deformation under the driving pressure and it stabilizes the tread elements, preventing tread flexing during the drive. The enhanced durability, lengthened tread life and usability makes the tire more cost efficient.

The Deegan 38 All Terrain promotes superb handling and controllability. The tread pattern’s tie-bars ensure constant road contact, which improves the steering responsiveness and driving stability. As a result, the steering response to the driver’s instructions is quick and precise, while the tire is stabilized against the driving pressure affecting it. Easier control and safer handling are guaranteed in this manner.

Manufacturers recommend changing tires every 10 years. As long as tires are properly stored before they are sold, the year of their manufacture will not shorten their service life.
